Florida, What is the MPJE Exam?
The MPJE (Multi-State Pharmacy Jurisprudence Examination) is a comprehensive exam that assesses your knowledge of both federal and state pharmacy laws. To be well-prepared for this test, you must gain a deep comprehension of the various legal principles governing pharmacy practice in Florida.
Every state that administers the MPJE exam uses the same outline, but the questions will be different based on each state’s unique pharmacy law. So, for example, you could be asked a question regarding the inventory control of a schedule II drug and the answer would be different in Florida compared to Texas even though the drug and its classification were the same.
To learn how the MPJE exam is structured, check out this video we put together to help recently graduated pharmacy students prepare for the MPJE exam. This video is included with all of our MPJE study resources.
You can only practice pharmacy once you get certified and pass the MPJE exam. Many passionate students or practicing pharmacists face the bottleneck of not being able to practice in their desired state. Don’t let this be you; take advantage of practice exams and competency statements. With the proper preparation and understanding of the requirements of the state of Florida, you can practice as a pharmacist in the sunshine state.
